After-School Enrichment Facilitator

Lead upbeat, movement-powered math sessions for students in Chicago (K–8). You don’t need basketball experience—just confidence with kids, positive energy, and a love for learning that feels fun.

What you’ll do

  • Facilitate small-group or full-class games that blend math + movement.
  • Create an inclusive, upbeat environment where every student can participate.
  • Adjust pacing and support based on student skill levels and engagement styles.
  • Coordinate quick setup/wrap so sessions feel polished and on-time.
  • Share end-of-program feedback, insights, and recommendations with our team.

Who this is for

  • Current or recent students in Education, Youth Development, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Experience with kids (classroom, camp, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering).
  • Comfortable leading groups and keeping energy positive and respectful.
  • Interested in hands-on experience with K–8 learners in an active learning setting.

Program schedule

  • Duration: 6 weeks (project-based)
  • Sessions: 2 sessions per week
  • Length: 1 hour per session
  • Timing: After-school window (typically 2:30–5:30pm)
  • Wrap: Final week includes a feedback + recommendations debrief

Exact days/times will be confirmed with the school partner during onboarding.

Compensation

  • Stipend: $500–$650 per facilitator for the full 6-week program
  • Includes training/onboarding, pre-session setup, and post-session wrap-up
  • Opportunities to be considered for future school partnerships and weekend events

  • Professional communication and punctuality
  • Preparedness to lead (or co-lead) with high energy and structure
  • Reliable follow-through across the full 6-week timeline
