Background

Lake Ridge Elementary partnered with FlashHoops to run a one-week pilot with multiple classrooms. Teachers wanted to tackle two challenges: keeping students engaged during repetitive multiplication drills and ensuring struggling learners made meaningful progress. FlashHoops’ structured, game-based routine provided a new approach — short daily practice, playful head-to-head competitions, and easy teacher setup.

The Pilot

Teachers reported smooth classroom integration and stronger energy, while students rated the experience highly — averaging over 4/5 in enjoyment. The biggest impact was seen among students who had previously struggled, with some making double-digit gains in just five days.
